DECODED

Decoding two iconic pieces from Nicolas Ghesquière's new Autumn-Winter collection.

A LOOK, DECODED

This symbolic silhouette embodies the spirit of the Autumn-Winter 2016 collection, based on four guiding principles.

Sport: In an engineered mesh dress, these form-sensitive fabrics typical of performance clothing adapt to the body's needs. The dazzling colors only add to the triumphant nature of the design.
Savoir-Faire:  Found in the leather sleeves of the dress. Finely embroidered, inlaid, works of dazzling dexterity, they recall the talent of a great leather craftsman.
Luxury: A skirt in fluid silk softens a dynamic line. Inspired by Indian motifs, it requires an overlay of over 70 colors. This opulent print gracefully accompanies the stepping movement at ankle level.
The signature: This is the Neo Cruiser, inspired by a historic Louis Vuitton creation, the “Cruiser bag” dating from 1984. In its modern version, it has been feminised by scaling it down to City Bag size and decorating it with the Reverse Monogram, like a photographic negative.

POINT AND CLICK

While tiny, it exudes a mighty power of attraction.  This is the Camera Box, the latest addition to Louis Vuitton's handbags. Everything you need to know about Autumn 2016's It Bag.

Inspired by the camera cases of the 1970's.
The baby brother of the Petite-Malle, this is a new version of the handy minaudières.
The lock comes from a 1924 Citroën trunk, a model used in the Citroen Yellow Cruise Expedition.
Nicolas Ghesquière's favorite bag.
A strap to carry it over your shoulder and a handle to hold it in your hand.  This versatile bag is as appropriate for daytime as it is for glittering evenings.
A cubical shape, a clasp, and the Monogram: the golden trio of a bag worthy of the Maison Louis Vuitton.
