    Fondation Louis Vuitton presents the exhibition Keys to a passion from April 1st to July 6th 2015.

    As the third phase of its inaugural programme, Fondation Louis Vuitton presents an important exhibition entitled Keys to a passion, which will be held from April 1st to July 6th 2015. This exhibition gathers a select choice of major works which have been key to the development of modernity, and have changed the course of art history in the 20th century. It includes works from artists such as Mondrian, Malevich, Rothko, Delaunay, Léger, Picabia, Munch, Dix, Giacometti, Matisse, Kupka and Severini.

    Following on from previous announcements, Keys to a passion highlights the Foundation’s collaborative relationships with major French and international institutions. Lenders to this exhibition include : The State Hermitage museum, Saint Petersburg; Tate Modern, London; MoMA, New York; The Munch Museum, Oslo; Guggenheim, New York; Gemeentemuseum, The Hague; The Pushkin Museum, Saint Petersburg; The Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo; The State Russian Museum, Saint Petersburg; MNAM-Centre Pompidou, Paris; Kunsthaus, Zürich; MOCA, Los Angeles.

    A symposium dealing with diverse issues, shared by many global institutions, will be held on June 12th and 13th, 2015. It will cover themes such as: “What does it mean to collect art today?”, “Who is currently making art history?”, “What impact does the art market have on this landscape?”, “What makes a work iconic?”.

    The exhibition Keys to a passion is curated by Suzanne Pagé and Béatrice Parent, in collaboration with Isabelle Monod-Fontaine as scientific advisor.

  • ESCALE WORLDTIME

    Escale Worldtime draws from the history of the House to breathe new life into the art of Haute Horlogerie.

    The World Time indicator is a watchmaking innovation by Louis Vuitton’s La Fabrique du Temps. By aligning the initials of the desired city above the yellow arrow, you can instantly see the time anywhere in the world while the minutes can be read underneath the yellow arrow indicating the hour in the reference city.

    Historically, Louis Vuitton has always offered clients the possibility of customising their trunks with strips of colour, initials, coats of arms and other hand-painted geometric pictograms. This colourful universe and striking customisations have served as inspirations for the creation of the Escale Worldtime watch dial.

    Explore the Escale Worldtime features in this interactive platform put in motion by the sound of Chromatics' "Tick of the Clock".

    Evocative of exotic and distant destinations, Louis Vuitton introduces the new summer collection.

    Shot in Miami by Casper Sejersen, the 2015 Summer collection focuse on 2 main themes.

    First is the emblematic “V” inspired from the Volez, Voguez, Voyagez advertisement from the mid-sixties, a reminder of Louis Vuitton’s DNA as travel goods maker for the adventurers of the twentieth century.

    The Summer collection also introduces the “Ramage” pattern, reminiscent of under the sea landscapes and colorful universe.
