    Photographed by Angelo Pennetta, the new Louis Vuitton campaign explores sublime landscapes of Vietnam in this ode to the Maison’s signature Spirit of Travel.

    From the Ha Long Bay to Ninh Binh and its temples, the Campaign expresses both the magic and the serenity found in travel, as represented by the most iconic designs from the Louis Vuitton leather goods collection. Amongst these icons are the emblematic Steamer bag, the latest On The Go shopper, the Alma in Epi leather and the Petite Malle from the New Classics range. Since 1854, this Spirit of Travel endures as Louis Vuitton’s most essential and timeless guiding principles.

    The final of the sixth edition of LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers took place on the 4th September 2019 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

    With the LVMH Prize's 6th edition the group confirm its ongoing commitment to supporting young fashion designers and contribute to the future of fashion. The Jury selected the winner of the sixth edition of the LVMH Prize among the eight finalists : Thebe Magugu, 26, South African, based in Johannesburg. The Jury also awarded a special prize, henceforth known as the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, in tribute to the great designer. The recipient of the 2019 Karl Lagarfeld Prize is Hed Mayner, 33, Israeli.

    Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, ambassador and friend of the house, winner of an Oscar for best supporting actress in 2016, presented the Prize trophy, a sculpture especially designed by the artist Jean-Michel Othoniel.

  • THE SPIRIT OF TRAVEL CAMPAIGN

    Louis Vuitton is pleased to present this year’s Travel Campaign, celebrating the timeless and essential spirit that captures the Maison’s historic core values.

    The Campaign unfolds as a travelogue: photographer Angelo Pennetta captured the models Rianne van Rompaey, Fei Fei Sun and Kit Butler in sublime landscapes of Vietnam, from Ha Long Bay to Ninh Binh and its temples. Against these evocative backdrops, each shot expresses the serenity and magic of travel, embodied by Louis Vuitton’s iconic leather goods.

    As if suspended in time, the new campaign expresses the importance of imagination and escapism, two values that are at the heart of Louis Vuitton, while also inviting us to slow down and refocus on what is essential. Through the spectacular landscapes of Vietnam, Pennetta’s images along with styling by Fran Burns capture a sense of the eternal that can be found in even the most fleeting of moments.
