  • LES VOYAGES DE JACQUES CAVALLIER BELLETRUD

From the ends of the world to Grasse, discovering perfumery’s most luxurious raw ingredients.

A native of Grasse, the cradle of both perfumery and leather work, Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud created each of his new men’s perfumes in his creative atelier at Les Fontaines Parfumées.

In this Provençal estate, surrounded by flower fields and citrus groves, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud composes and formulates immobile journeys designed to take shape on the surface of the skin. To do so, he draws from the most exquisite raw materials in the world. He travels the five continents in quest of olfactory emotion, knows by heart all the steps necessary to cultivate Pallida iris and Peruvian balsam, the artisanal harvesting of which he tracks in Salvador; negotiates the quality of citrus with growers in Calabria, and purchases the most aromatic cocoa beans on the Ivory Coast, as well as Sambac jasmine in China. But once the ingredients are sourced, they are transported to his hometown of Grasse, and the transformation begins. Bolstered by the exceptional knowledge in Grasse where, from one generation to the next, experts perfect and transmit techniques for transforming raw materials and performing carbon dioxide extractions. Each petal is reverently respected, resulting in infusions so faithful to the original plant that they could already stand on their own as perfumes.

Louis Vuitton renews its commitment to children with its Silver Lockit Fluo bracelets.

For the third year of its partnership with UNICEF, Louis Vuitton shines the spotlight once again on its Silver Lockit bracelets in florescent colors. The campaign continues to raise awareness and funds that will support some of the most vulnerable children around the world.

By purchasing the Silver Lockit Fluo, clients have the opportunity to help raise funds in support of UNICEF humanitarian programs that come to the aid of more than eleven million children in Syria and neighboring countries. It has been chosen as a symbol of sealing one’s promise to help children in urgent need. The sterling silver padlock is held on a cord, available in five colors, yellow, orange, pink, blue and black.

The Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles champions of Roland-Garros’ tournament will respectively win the prestigious Suzanne Lenglen Cup and the Musketeers’ Cup. Since Louis Vuitton was founded in 1854, the customization of its products through painting has been an integral part of its DNA and traditional know-how. The 2018 Roland-Garros poster, designed by the artist Fabienne Verdier, will be painted on the “trophy” trunks. This customization, given pride of place once again this year, will add an exceptional and unique artistic touch to these cases. More than a means of identification, customization above all makes it possible to meet customers’ specific needs.
