• PRESENTING QIYANA, LEAGUE OF LEGENDS CHAMPION

As part of Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with the esports organization Riot Games, Nicolas Ghesquière has designed the Maison’s first-ever League of Legends prestige skin.

Qiyana, also known as the Empress of the Elements, wears a total look designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections. Reminiscent of recent silhouettes seen on the runway, the look combines a cropped top and high-waisted pants with signature Louis Vuitton accessories such as the Dauphine bag and Star Trail boots. Qiyana’s ring blade has also been reinterpreted with the emblematic Monogram and V-shaped ornaments.

The prestige skin is now available in the League of Legends store. Players and fans can also play with Qiyana’s Louis Vuitton tiara, earrings, and ring blade thanks to a new Instagram filter. Find it in the Filter tab of Louis Vuitton’s Instagram account @louisvuitton.

Virgil Abloh presents new classics for the Louis Vuitton Men’s Leather Goods range.

These four bags reinvent the concept of leather goods by embracing the bodies, movements, and attitudes of contemporary masculinity. In order to develop Louis Vuitton’s new Men’s leather goods, the Artistic Director of Men’s Collections delved into the Maison’s archives and reworked several historic designs.

The chic Steamer, originally created in 1901, has been reinterpreted as a new business bag that is elegant, fashionable, and functional. The Soft Trunk and its Mini version, heirs of Louis Vuitton’s heritage as a trunk-maker, has retained some of its signature details but now comes in supple leather that’s easy to carry and molds to the body. The small yet spacious Pochette Volga is also a hybrid design featuring a detachable chain handle that can be used either as a small bag or fashionable wallet.

For the first release of this new series, the Monogram Eclipse canvas was chosen to highlight the timeless elegance shared by all four models. The permanent editions of the bags will be included in all of Virgil Abloh’s future Louis Vuitton Collections in an ever-evolving array of materials and colors.

  • “ABOUT TIME” EXHIBITION AT THE COSTUME INSTITUTE

About Time Exhibition at the Costume Institute - Louis Vuitton Art & Travel NEWS
Announcing the upcoming Metropolitan Museum of Art's exhibition “About Time: Fashion and Duration,” made possible by Louis Vuitton.

The exhibit will trace more than a century and a half of fashion, from 1870 to the present, along a disruptive timeline, as part of the Museum’s 150th-anniversary celebration. Employing philosopher Henri Bergson’s concept of la durée—time that flows, accumulates, and is indivisible—the exhibition will explore how clothes generate temporal associations that conflate the past, present, and future. The exhibition is made possible by Louis Vuitton, with additional support provided by Condé Nast.

In celebration of the opening, The Costume Institute Benefit, also known as The Met Gala, will take place on Monday, May 4, 2020.  Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière will co-chair the event along with Emma Stone, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Meryl Streep, and Anna Wintour.
