As stated during its inauguration, the Fondation Louis Vuitton intends to deploy its artistic activities not only in Paris but also abroad. The first step of this "beyond-the-walls" program will take place in Beijing from June 19th to August 16th, 2015, in a specially allocated venue within the 'China World' complex.
From early sketches to the completion of work, the monographic exhibition focuses on Frank Gehry’s project for the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. It offers a new vision of the creative universe of the architect and Laureate of the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 1989, who has described the Foundation as a 'magnificent vessel that symbolizes France’s profound cultural vocation'.
The show will then travel to Tokyo, where it will be held in the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton from October 15th, 2015. Future events in the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s "beyond-the-walls" art program will be announced subsequently.
