Maison Louis Vuitton New Bond Street in London

The Louis Vuitton New Bond Street Maison features a sweeping double helix shaped staircase, crafted in cerused oak and worked as a sculpture with an offset centre. Nine important artworks are featured throughout the store in addition to a permanent selection of Objets Nomades.

The Neighborhood

Juxtaposing colourful irreverence and classic good taste, London has cemented its place as a true fashion capital. Fittingly, the luxuriously appointed New Bond Street Maison has found its home amongst the city’s historic arcades, avant-garde boutiques and world-renowned museums.

At the heart of London proper, as the Brits would say, New Bond Street is a universe of rarefied air. Both fashionable and exclusive, it was once known for its art dealers and antique shops; today it's an upmarket shopping destination.

The Facade

“I could barely touch the historic facade, so I knocked everything inside down instead.” —Peter Marino, Architect

The Interior

Crossing the threshold, over a floor in a Damier check pattern made of Croix Huyart stone and Pierre Bleue du Hainaut marble, you are greeted with a changeable gallery space, where the window displays of New Bond Street are transported inside the store. The entrance features a sweeping double helix shaped staircase, crafted in cerused oak and worked as a sculpture with an offset centre. Nine important artworks are featured throughout the store in addition to a permanent selection of Objets Nomades, the collection of designer travel and home related objects that launched in 2012, keeping alive Louis Vuitton's long tradition of beautifully crafted travel-inspired objects.
